  • How can I purchase your pastured chicken products, and do you ship outside of Utah?

Please note that at this time, we are working on a section to purchase locally, as we are unable to ship outside of Utah. We are committed to providing the freshest and highest quality pastured chicken products, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to expand our capabilities for shipping in the future.   • Do you sell different cuts of chicken?
    Unfortunately, here in Utah, we are not allowed to sell cuts of chicken; currently, it must be sold as a whole chicken. At Everest Acres, we specialize in providing customers with the highest quality pastured chickens. Our chickens are raised in a free-range environment, allowing them to forage, roam, and exhibit their natural behaviors. We believe in sustainable and ethical farming practices, ensuring that our chickens are healthy, happy, and well-cared for. While we are unable to sell specific cuts, we are proud to offer whole chickens that are perfect for roasting, grilling, or using in a variety of delicious recipes.   • What are Red Rangers/Freedom Rangers and Cornish Cross?

  • Who butchers your chickens
    At Everest Acres, we take pride in ensuring quality from start to finish by overseeing the butchering process ourselves. Since there are no butchering facilities within 10 hours of us, we handle the butchering of each chicken in our own home processing facilities. This allows us to maintain control over the entire process and ensure the highest standards of quality for our pastured chickens.
  • Do I have to be a member of your herdshare to purchase chicken?
    No, you do not have to be a member of our herdshare to purchase our pasture-raised chicken. At Everest Acres, we offer the option for individuals to purchase our chicken without being a member of our herdshare program. Whether you are a returning customer or new to our farm, you can buy our high-quality, ethically-raised chicken directly from us.
  • Is Raw milk Safe?
    In our opinion, raw milk is safe for consumption when produced, handled and stored properly. According to research, raw milk has been shown to contain beneficial bacteria and enzymes that may aid in digestion and nutrient absorption. However, it is important to remember that raw milk can also contain harmful bacteria that can lead to food-borne illnesses if not handled and stored properly. Therefore, it is important to purchase raw milk from a reputable source and ensure that it is handled and stored in a clean environment.
  • How long is Raw milk good for?
    Raw milk should be kept at temperatures below 41 degrees Fahrenheit, we prefer around 38 degrees. If left in warm temperatures you can expect your milk to sour quicker . Our Raw milk typically is good for 12-14 after the Milked date. Even then as it sours, you can still use it is great for baking with, yogurts, kefir.
  • What is a herdshare?
    A herdshare is a unique opportunity for individuals to become part-owners of our herd of dairy animals. By purchasing a share in the herd, customers can enjoy the benefits of fresh, raw milk and other dairy products produced by our healthy and well-cared-for animals. Each share entitles the owner to a portion of the milk produced by the herd, which can be picked up at our farm or at a designated location. This arrangement allows individuals to have a direct connection to the source of their dairy products and support sustainable, ethical farming practices. Additionally, herdshare owners have the opportunity to engage with our farm and learn about the process of dairy production from our knowledgeable and dedicated staff. We believe in transparency, quality, and community, and are committed to providing the highest standard of care for our animals and the finest dairy products for our customers.
  • Why should I drink raw milk from Everest Acres?
    Raw milk from Everest Acres offers numerous benefits that pasteurized milk may not provide. Raw milk is not heated to high temperatures, preserving its natural enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. This can lead to improved digestion, better nutrient absorption, and enhanced immune function. By choosing raw milk from Everest Acres, you are supporting sustainable and ethical farming practices, as well as enjoying a product that is as close to its natural state as possible.
  • How much are your Shares?
    1/2 Share - $30 (Yearly) Includes -1/2 Share = 1/2 Gallon -1/2 Gallon Glass Jar Deposit Full Share - $60 (Yearly) Includes - 1 Share = 1 Gallon - (2) 1/2 gallon Glass Jar Deposit
  • How much is the Milk?
    At Everest Acres, as a shareholder of the herd, you will be responsible for yearly share payments that contribute towards the care and maintenance of your portion of the herd. Additionally, you will also pay weekly for the milking of your share, with prices set at $6 per 1/2 gallon and $12 per 1 gallon. These payments ensure that you receive the high-quality dairy products from your designated share of the herd while supporting the ongoing care and well-being of the animals.
  • Will Everest Acres always provide milk in glass jars, or is there a possibility of transitioning to plastic jugs
    At Everest Acres, we are currently providing your milk in glass jars that you have paid a deposit on in your yearly share payment. While our current focus is on glass packaging, there could come a time that we will need to transition to plastic jugs. However, we want to assure you that regardless of the type of packaging, we are committed to ensuring that your milk sits in the jugs for the least amount of time possible to maintain its freshness and quality. Our priority is to provide you with the best milk while being mindful of sustainable packaging options.
  • How do I sign up for a herdshare at Everest Acres?
    To sign up for a herdshare at Everest Acres, we like to have a conversation with each potential member to ensure they fully understand our services and make an informed decision.   • Where are your pick up locations
    Currently, we have Milk pick ups/Jar Drop off in the following locations: Mondays - Mona, Santaquin, Payson, Orem, American fork Thursdays - Salina, Richfield Our pick up locations are strategically chosen to make it convenient for our customers to access our raw milk and drop off their empty jars. We aim to provide easy access to our high-quality dairy products while also minimizing the hassle of transportation for our customers.
